Aanchal Thakur, 21, created history by becoming the first Indian to win a medal in a winter sport when she netted a bronze for skiing in the slalom at the Alpine Ejder 3200 Cup in Turkey.

She spoke to the BBC about what her achievement means to her personally and what impact it is likely to have on winter sports in the country.
