Rain and hailstorms wreaked havoc in various areas of Assam, causing destruction to homes, structures, and agricultural fields. A woman named Shakhi Begum Laskar lost her life after a huge tree fell on her house while she was sleeping with her 4-month-old child. The child survived the ordeal unharmed.

More than 200 people were trapped in the Garbhanga area of Guwahati when several trees were uprooted, leaving them stranded due to heavy storm rains. The trapped people were eventually rescued by personnel of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF). Additionally, the roof of Lokapriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport collapsed due to sudden heavy rainfall, but fortunately, no one was injured.
