I started wondering about Portuguese words that are similar to Malayalam after watching the malayalam movie Kapela. It initially started with me trying to figure out the definition of "kapela", which later got me thinking about the origin of the word. This is when I further went in depth about the relation of Portuguese and Malayalam, I realized that there are over 100 portuguese loanwords that are used in Malayalam.

I found the list of portuguese loanwords interesting enough to make a video about back then. Amanda happened to come across this video and she left a comment under my "similarities between Malayalam and Portuguese video" and that started off the beginning of a new friendship. We had uploaded our first video 2 weeks ago (it was an episode of Loose Talks) and considering how small of a youtuber I am, the reach I got on that video was immense.
