The former World Bank official garnered more than 52-percent of the vote,... beating Jose Maria Figueres.
Meanwhile over in Serbia,... the incumbent Aleksandar Vucic secured an easy win in the country's presidential election,... as he ran for a second five-year term on a promise of peace and stability amid Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
Vucic's ruling Serbian Progressive Party also won the vast majority of the votes in parliamentary election.
