We were attempting to sail from Falmouth to the South of Portugal- a big trip! Despite watching for our weather window (and seeing a system come in far more North West than anywhere we would be heading), we still got hit head on with it. As we were only half way across the channel, and it was still to get worse, we decided to make the decision to turn back.
