A viral video showed Spanish police attacking Moroccan women in Ceuta with batons as they celebrated Morocco’s win over Portugal in the World Cup. Ceuta is a Spanish enclave on the Moroccan mainland and has a substantial population with Moroccan roots.

The Spanish judiciary has launched an investigation into the incident and lawyer Murad Al-Agoti has filed a complaint to Spain’s public prosecutor, Teresa Piramato Martin.
