Carvalho Beach is one of the areas best!!!

Not quite as spacious as the nearby Marinha - nor as famous as Benagil with its caves - Carvalho provides the coastal landscape beauty that defines the Algarve and has caves and cliffs of its own to impress the many beachgoers that visit Carvalho.

The hike down to the beach is pretty awesome, too, after admiring the Carvalho coves from the high cliffs above, a long staircase winds down the mountain before leading to a tunnel dug into the rock that spits you out right on the beach after negotiating stone steps.

The water is crisp and clear and the cliffjumping is pretty sweet.

In this video we highlight a few jumps and witness an epic belly flop fail that had just about everyone on the beach shouting "OUCH!!"

Another great beach of the best beaches on the Algarve coast.
