Miguel Fontes is Executive Director at Startup Lisboa, a Portuguese incubator that welcomes startups from all over the world. Startup Lisboa was founded in 2012, by Lisbon Municipality, Montepio Bank, and IAPMEI. It's a non-profit association that provides physical and virtual incubation. Together with Camara Municipal de Lisboa, Startup Lisboa manages Hub Criativo do Beato.
Miguel Fontes was a former director of Aicep Global Parques , Secretary of State for Youth, and Deputy to the Prime Minister's Office.

In this interview, Miguel Fontes talks about the path forged by Startup Lisboa since 2012, the current state of Portuguese business valuations, women leading startups, the importance of talent, why investors love Portuguese Startups' deal flow, why Lisbon is so attractive for business, and what's ahead for Startup Lisboa, the 8-year-old Portuguese reference incubator.
