Police in Germany investigating a man in connection with the disappearance of Madeleine McCann are looking into possible links with two other missing children.

The 43-year-old suspect named Christian B is a convicted sex offender who is currently serving a prison sentence in Germany for drugs offences.

The cases being reviewed include the disappearance of a German boy in southern Portugal in 1996, and the disappearance of a five-year-old girl in Germany in 2015.

Madeleine McCann disappeared from her holiday home in Southern Portugal in 2007.
