About This Instructor: Dr. Miriam Klein Kassenoff was born in present-day Slovakia in 1941, where she lived with her parents and infant brother before fleeing the Holocaust. Dr. Klein Kassenoff is the founding director of the University of Miami Holocaust Teacher Institute and the education specialist for Holocaust Studies for Miami-Dade County Public Schools. She is responsible for training educators on teaching the Holocaust in schools. She also frequently presents on Holocaust education at conferences and workshops nationwide, and has consulted on several documentary films about the time period.
