This week we desperately need some more shade around the house as the sun bakes down in the afternoons. I loosely hack together an interim solution and also put up a little pool for me to cool off in.

The pears are in surplus! I try my hand at picking pears - but don´t yet have this skill down 100%.

I'm Christine. I started this journey in search of my forever farm in Portugal, and now I have found it!

This is my adventure as a solo expat on a farm in Central Portugal with my two fur-kids, Shakti & Shiva.
I've never owned or lived on a farm, but moved to Portugal in the hope of fulfilling a life-long dream of finding open space, subsistence farming and a safer, better life.

Now that we have found our farm, the second stage of our journey begins!
I have to figure out farm life while renovating an agricultural structure to make it habitable and turn it into a comfortable home for me and my furkids.
